Position Objective:

The Account Manager position manages sales processes in an assigned geography in accordance with approved sales and marketing plans. The Account Manager will comprehend and utilize product features, benefits and applications accompanied with proven selling skills to successfully promote and consummate the sale of Company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan.

Essential Functions:

PLAN PERFORMANCE AND SALES SKILLS:

Apply working knowledge of Professional, Consultative, and Strategic Selling skills to maintain existing business, develop incremental business in existing accounts, and conduct cold calls to develop new accounts.

Demonstrate use of selling skills in the field, such as making good opening statements, connecting with the customer, asking high gain questions, creating the value proposition and closing.

Participate in sales training programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Company philosophy, policies and procedures.

Requirements ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:


Call on all organizational levels and functional areas within assigned account which influence purchasing decisions.

Develop, write, and execute a strategic business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly.

Develop presentations and customer proposals for such things as IT solutions agreements, Managed Service contracts and preferred vendor agreements with assistance from AOS company personnel.

Host and assist product demonstration either at assigned accounts or locally on a routine basis such as semi annually.

Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relations management software (Connectwise PSA). Use system completely to fulfill management expectations recording and utilizing customer and sales information.

Utilize data sources to analyze and capitalize on territory opportunities with the greatest ROI. Communicate key competitive activities, trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers.

Attain or exceed assigned sales goals, profit goals, and market share goals consistently within expense guidelines.

COMMUNICATION:

regular oral and written communication of successes, failures, best practices etc to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization.

Contact and return calls to design team for sales presentations, information through telephone, e-mail or personal visits daily

Learn and / or demonstrate required computer skills within the requirements of the job description, daily e-mail synchronizing is required.

TIME MANAGEMENT:

Field travel as necessary (approx. 5 days per week)

Complete assigned tasks and reports in a timely and complete manner.

Utilize proven organizational skills to successfully manage territory sales activities.


CORPORATE POLICY AND PROCEDURES COMPLIANCE:

Adherence to Company policies and procedures and striving to present a professional image as a Company ambassador is required.

TECHNICAL COMPREHENSION:

Provide product and other relevant information to customers via daily phone contact and personal visits for all aspects of AOS business to generate sales.

Utilize excellent level of product knowledge and applications to successfully conduct effective consultative selling presentations.

Utilize knowledge of existing and potential customer status regarding Company and competitors’ products in selling presentations.

Support marketing programs as assigned by the Sales Manager.

Education Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree; or the equivalent knowledge and experience.

Experience Requirements:

Requires a minimum 3 years of related work experience and at least 3 years of related sales experience. In-depth knowledge of Information Technology is helpful. Knowledge of accounts in territory preferred. Experience with customer contact, teaching or public speaking is helpful. Experience in Technical Service and Customer Service is helpful. Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs is helpful.

Candidate will have a well rounded, working, knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Microsoft Server and Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) features including virtualization, instant messaging, presence, LiveMeeting remote access and federation configuration. He or she will also be familiar with a number of advanced features, including high availability, disaster recovery, Enterprise Voice, PBX integration, SIP trunking and/or third party audio, web, and video conferencing solutions and their interfaces to OCS.

Core Job Responsibilities:

• Applies knowledge and previous experience in Microsoft Active Directory, infrastructure solutions, messaging and Unified Communications areas to perform configuration, testing, and deployment of all Microsoft virtualization, Exchange and OCS server roles and related technologies.
• Applies knowledge and previous experience in Microsoft System Center suite.

Secondary Job Responsibilities:

• Stay current with new conferencing/collaboration technologies and architectures.
• Analyze and interpret data captures/logs, process output, and technical information to perform troubleshooting of lab or production environments.
• Apply good time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks at the same time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills:
Ability to implement, and manage Microsoft Exchange, OCS 2007 and MS Server infrastructure.
Has participated in multiple MS infrastructure and OCS 2007 projects by consulting, implementing, and/or migrating.
Candidates should have a good technical background with 1+ years of Industry experience in Microsoft OCS 2007, preferably R2.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft’s infrastructure, messaging and collaboration products, including Exchange Unified Messaging.
3+ years of direct client facing consulting experience
Desired Skills:
A BA/BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline and MCSE preferred
Strong Technical background in the area of Microsoft infrastructure, networking, storage, and server design
Experience with PBXs and other telecommunications provider solutions is desired
Demonstrated ability to problem solve, identify alternative solutions, and communicate best practices
Strong research skills
Good written and verbal communication.
Good presentation and communications skills
Good interpersonal skills in working with others

The chosen candidate would be helping a major local corporation develop processes and procedures for ongoing DIACAP compliance and remediation. The Corporation recently went through a fairly painful accreditation process and is looking to get expert help in processes that will allow them to smoothly navigate accreditation year after year. The consultant would work through this companies systems and subsidiaries to ensure the processes were implemented and also successful, and remediating findings and applying process improvement strategies as needed.
