General Purpose of Job: Responsible for the activities and resources required to provide quality hardware and software systems management and availability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Networking
• Acts as Team Lead for the administration and maintenance of company’s infrastructure.
• Serves as Team Lead for the administration and maintenance of company’s WAN.
• Participates in planning, designing, installing and configuring local and wide area networks.
• Builds and configures servers including domain controllers, file/print, database, e-mail and internet.
• Monitors performance of network and servers to identify potential problems and bottlenecks.
• Diagnoses and resolves LAN/WAN problems.
• Ensures LAN/WAN environment is secure and appropriate recovery and redundancy issues are addressed.
• Reviews and studies selected vendor LAN/WAN software and hardware products to determine those that meet the needs of company.
• Provides technical guidance to Service and Support staff, Application Development staff or less experienced network engineers.
• Monitor and maintain secure remote connectivity to the companynetwork.
• Monitor and maintain firewall and other perimeter defense systems to ensure company’s networks and data are safe and secure.
• Ensure appropriate software is installed and continuously updated to guard against viruses, malware, adware, spyware, keyloggers, etc.
• When needed, coordinates with outside vendors for additional expertise and projects.
• Monitors and maintain wireless network infrastructure.
Telephony
• Provides networking support and assistance to ensure optimum performance of IP phone system.
Internal Systems
• Serves as a Team Lead for troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery done by more junior team members.
• Performs complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery.
• Assists in the design, implementation and maintenance of systems, programs, hardware and software.
New Hire Administration
• Acts as Team Lead for creating network accounts, setting up laptops/desktops configuring software and granting authorities and permissions.
Help Desk Administration
• Responsible for the resolution of all LAN/WAN and workstation trouble calls/emails and tracks work using our help desk application.
• Interacts with internal clients to resolve escalated help desk issues.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
MAC Support
• Support operating system
• Support applications, install upgrades, perform configurations, etc
• Troubleshoot hardware problems
Network Hardware
• Terminate cables on station jacks, patch panels or patch cords
• Operate diagnostic hardware and software
• Configure and maintain routers and switches
• Support wireless access points
Support various PDA products
Provide WAN Support
Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
Proficient in the setup and support of projection equipment (i.e. In-Focus projectors).
May need to use personal vehicle to service the equipment in other same-city locations.
Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or the Safety Manager.
Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Attend in-house or off site workshops, seminars, and conferences to increase or maintain knowledge of position.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision
General supervision: routine duties are performed with minimal supervision; standard practices or procedures allow employee to work independently on routine work; occasional check of work by Director while in progress; work is reviewed upon completion.
Tools and Equipment
Punch tool, crimp tool, tone generator and tone tracer, basic capabilities with screwdrivers, wrenches and pliers.
Education and Experience
Preferably advanced degree but will consider completion of a Bachelor’s degree with course work in computer science, or equivalent work experience. Minimum three years of internal experience as a Network Administrator, or four years of external experience at an equivalent position. Successful completion of any training for networking software utilized. Successful completion of all in service training programs recommended. Industry certifications highly desirable.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Operations
Utilize complex computer operations (intermediate programming in 3rd and 4th generation languages, relational databases, and operating systems) and advanced features of software packages (word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.) See also all primary and secondary duties and responsibilities.
Planning/Organization
Handle multiple projects simultaneously

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position Objective:

Essential Functions:
PLAN PERFORMANCE AND SALES SKILLS:
Apply working knowledge of Professional, Consultative, and Strategic Selling skills to maintain existing business, develop incremental business in existing accounts, and conduct cold calls to develop new accounts.
Demonstrate use of selling skills in the field, such as making good opening statements, connecting with the customer, asking high gain questions, creating the value proposition and closing.
Participate in sales training programs as presented by the company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with the Company philosophy, policies and procedures.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:
Call on all organizational levels and functional areas within assigned account which influence purchasing decisions.
Develop, write, and execute a strategic business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly.
Develop presentations and customer proposals for such things as IT solutions agreements, Managed Service contracts and preferred vendor agreements with assistance from AOS company personnel
Host and assist product demonstration either at assigned accounts or locally on a routine basis such as semi annually.
Maintain and increase current customer database through Company customer relations management software (Connectwise PSA). Use system completely to fulfill management expectations recording and utilizing customer and sales information.
Utilize data sources to analyze and capitalize on territory opportunities with the greatest ROI. Communicate key competitive activities, trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customers.
Attain or exceed assigned sales goals, profit goals, and market share goals consistently within expense guidelines.
COMMUNICATION:
regular oral and written communication of successes, failures, best practices etc to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team, region and sales organization.
Contact and return calls to design team for sales presentations, information through telephone, e-mail or personal visits daily
Learn and / or demonstrate required computer skills within the requirements of the job description, daily e-mail synchronizing is required.
TIME MANAGEMENT:
Field travel as necessary (approx. 5 days per week)
Complete assigned tasks and reports in a timely and complete manner.
Utilize proven organizational skills to successfully manage territory sales activities.

Experience Requirements:
Requires a minimum 3 years of related work experience and at least 3 years of related sales experience. In-depth knowledge of Information Technology is helpful. Knowledge of accounts in territory preferred. Experience with customer contact, teaching or public speaking is helpful. Experience in Technical Service and Customer Service is helpful. Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs is helpful.
